🏊♂️ 🏆 2025 Australian Short Course Championships – Highlights & Results
We are thrilled to share the outstanding performance of two of our Otters swimmers at the 2025 Australian Short Course Championships, held from Wednesday, 1st October to Friday, 3rd October 2025.
This prestigious 3-day event brought together 591 elite swimmers from 118 clubs across Australia and Internationally – including top athletes from Japan and the Philippines. The competition featured numerous Olympians and World Championship contenders, making it one of the most competitive meets on the calendar.
Despite the fierce competition, our Otters swimmers delivered exceptional results and made us all proud.

Competed in 3 events:
400m Freestyle – 🥉 Bronze Medal (Age Group)
200m Freestyle – Achieved Final Reserve position
200m Individual Medley (IM) – 🥉 Bronze Medal (Age Group)
👏 Kelvin Tran
Competed in 10 events, including:
400m Freestyle – 🥉 Bronze Medal
200m IM – 🥉 Bronze Medal
Also swam in: 200m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m IM, 100m Freestyle, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle, 50m Breaststroke, and 100m Butterfly
✅ Finalist in all 10 events – an incredible all-round effort!

Thanks to the outstanding efforts and all-round performance of Andrew and Kelvin, Otters Swim Club placed:
18th overall out of 118 Australian clubs
6th among all Victorian clubs
👏 Your medal wins, personal bests, and remarkable sportsmanship reflect the dedication and hard work of not only our swimmers, but also our committed coaches and support team.
