A huge congratulations to our 10 swimmers who qualified for the 2025/26 Uncloud Victorian Age Short Course Championships, held from September 12–14, 2025. It was an incredible weekend of racing, with personal bests (PBs), finals appearances, and medals achieved across the board.
🏅 Daniel
Competed in 6 individual events and 1 relay.
Reached the Finals in:
200m Individual Medley (IM)
400m IM
200m Butterfly
Outstanding effort across multiple disciplines—well done, Daniel!
🥈 Andrew – Multi-Class Competitor
Competed in 8 straight finals over three nights.
Medal Tally:
🥈 Silver – 100m Backstroke, 200m Freestyle, 100m IM
🥉 Bronze – 200m IM, 100m Butterfly
Earned a total of 86 points for our club with his remarkable performance.

Swam 4 individual events and 1 relay.
Made the Final in 100m Breaststroke and was Final Reserve for 200m Breaststroke.

Qualified for 8 events and competed in 7.
Achieved new PBs in every event she swam!

🥉 Bronwyn
Swam 6 individual events and 1 relay.
Achieved PBs in all her events — an outstanding effort!
Competed in Straight Finals and Timed Finals for:
200m Butterfly
400m IM
Made Final Reserve for the 200m Breaststroke.
Won Bronze 🥉 in the 400m IM, a well-deserved reward for her hard work.
Bronwyn proved she still has plenty of power and potential to showcase on the big stage!
🌊 Chengxiang Jiang (CJ) Competed in 4 out of 5 qualified events
🌟 Gou, Karen, and Miguel Each competed in 3 events
Gou Achieved the Final Reserve for his 100m Breaststroke.
All with new personal bests (PBs) and updated state rankings!
They all took on new and unfamiliar events, demonstrating courage and versatility.
These performances reflect their growth and unlock exciting potential for future training and competitions.
Well done to CJ, Gou, Karen, and Miguel for stepping up and showing what’s possible when you challenge yourself!
🐾 Relay Success – Otters on Fire!
In the 12–18 Mixed 4x50m Freestyle Relay, our team — Daniel, Bronwyn, Fiona, and Keith — delivered an exceptional performance.
🏊♂️🏊♀️ They smashed the previous team record by 6.94 seconds, setting a new team best and showing fantastic teamwork and determination.
This outstanding swim lifted our relay ranking from 30th to 22nd place — a huge leap in such a competitive field.
Well done, Otters! 👏💥

Thanks to the hard work and determination of our swimmers, our club finished 26th overall in the championship rankings — a fantastic result at such a high-level competition!
