Coach Report – The Uncloud Victorian Open Short Course Championships
We had eight swimmers representing our club at the 2025 Uncloud Victorian Open Short Course Championships—the largest number we’ve ever had at this event. For most of them, it was their first time competing at the Victorian Open Championships.
All swimmers performed very well. Kelvin and Andrew achieved their National Qualifying Times.
Our age group swimmers—Daniel, Andrew, Keith, CJ, Fiona, and Bronwyn—all swam either new personal bests (PBs) or matched their PBs, and improved their state-level rankings.
Our three Multi-Class swimmers all made the finals in their respective events.
Kelvin won a gold medal in the 200m Individual Medley (IM) and three bronze medals in the 50m Butterfly, 100m Backstroke, and 100m Breaststroke.
Andrew also secured a bronze medal in the 200m IM.
The strong performances of our Multi-Class swimmers in the finals lifted our club to 7th place overall in the Championships.
Well done, Otters!
Coach James
